Trees fall down

Here are the trees. They fell this morning, with one bringing down the other. What a mess. Luckily-no damage to the house or to anyone. They will be cleared away on Tuesday.

Putting things in perspective

This post was supposed to be about the tree(s) that fell this morning on the back of the house. and they did, and I will post some pictures. But to put things into perspective, I read this today. My condolences to Kay and her family. This seems to be a season of loss for people I don't know except via the internet.

This got me thinking about the relationships we build on the web. The web allows us to find a connection to people all over the world, but many of these relationships are only one way. We think we know the authors blogs we read., but we don't. We can though feel great empathy and connection.

Ravelry allows this to happen on a different scale as we carry on conversations via email/posting. But it is the swaps that seem to build the greatest links in my mind. What do you think?

Time to start blogging again

Since the last blog (was it really last fall?) there have been many changes. So to name a few:
1. New job
2. Clean office
3. More time (?)
4. Travel that does not suck me dry

Some things that stay the same:
1.Knitting
2. Cooking

So here we are...it is spring and now I blog again
